LIMITED SERIES OF MYAGKOV PLAYBOY VODKA 25.11.2015

JSC Synergy, a leading spirits producer in Russia, launches a limited series of Myagkov vodka with images of 10 remakes of the best Playboy magazine covers in each decade, beginning from 1960.

The interesting thing is that Russian models with a stark similarity to the originals have participated in shooting covers. Andrey Kukhtin, Synergy Brand Director, remarks an impressive novelty: «A mobile application has been specially developed for this series: brand fans will be able to see the video commercial depicting the process of the shoot of a cover, the one they’ve chosen, upon purchasing the product and scanning the QR code».

It should be noted that this is the first time a project of such a scale is being carried out in the international alcoholic beverages market, therefore, CCL Kontur, a leading shrink sleeves producer, couldn’t but participate in it demonstrating once again its ability to cope with the most challenging tasks.

Labels have been printed on the shrink sleeves production site that was officially opened in October by Günther Birkner, CCL Industries President of Food & Beverage Worldwide. Unique equipment that allows to combine offset and gravure printing in one run was used to print these labels. This method helps to considerably reduce costs.

Zhanna Suprun, CCL Kontur Development Director, noted: «Our combined technology makes it possible to print several designs in one run that is ideal for this project that requires quick changes of design combinations comprising a set of most popular ones. Such system is not only profitable in terms of time and resource savings but also allows to immediately react to clients’ needs who want to run various promo campaigns».

Besides, an existing data storage system offers a possibility to reprint previous runs within the shortest possible time reproducing the same settings for inks and materials.

A 360° support of CCL Kontur specialists throughout the process has helped to choose the most efficient inks and materials to meet the client’s requirements to the quality of the label. Hence eco-friendly EB-inks were used. Their main advantage over the UV-inks is 100% drying on the printing material. Besides, they do not contain such dangerous chemicals as photoinitiators.

A high-shrinkage film’s facilitated the task of smoothly applying a label to Myagkov bottle that has one of the most difficult shapes for application.

A tight cooperation of CCL Kontur with an Italian shrink application equipment producer’s enabled CCL Kontur to provide the client with «one window» service for shrink sleeve decoration process.

Synergy and CCL Kontur plan to continue their cooperation on this and other innovative projects.
